Our body contains approximately 4g. iron. The blood hemoglobin 2.67 gr. equal to 67.7% of the total. It seems little, but at the level atom "infinitely small" is not so.
In our blood we are
• About 5 million red cells per ml. What to 5 liters are 25 billion (25 billion) of red blood cells:
• About 280 million molecules of hemoglobin per red blood cell, or set-Temile trillion hemoglobins (7 000 000 000 000 000 000 000) .
• Which in turn are composed of four hemoglobins, each of which contains an iron atom, namely 28 000 000 000 000 000 000 (28 billion billion) atoms of iron.
• Given that 100 ml. contains blood, leaving the lung, 20 ml. of pure oxygen, the blood carries 13 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 (13 thousand billion billion atoms of oxygen).
• Each hemoglobin consists of approximately 10 000 atoms, that is 70 billion billion atoms (70 000 000 000 000 000 000)
• Every hour, 0.3 grams. hemoglobin is destroyed and renewed, that is 7.2 grams. per day or 0.8% of our total hemoglobin, we renew our full hemoglobin in 120 days, thus: 200 million (200 mil-lion) of red blood cells produced every day, 8,333,333 (8,330,000) hour, 2315 per second. •
58 000 000 000 000 000 (58 million billion) of hemoglobins produced by our bone marrow per day, or 244 or 700 billion (244 trillion) per hour or 68 000 million (68 billion) per second.
• The need is 2 247 000 000 000 000 000 (2.24 billion billion) atoms of iron per day or 10 200 000 000 000 000 (10.2 million billion) per hour, or 280 000 000 000,000 (280,000 billion) per second.
• As we have seen, each hemoglobin that is composed of 10 000 atoms allows the body to combine with each other 580 000 000 000 000 000 000 (580 billion billion) atoms per day, or 23.3 billion mi-billion per hour, or 64 trillion per second.
