La storia del Golden

In contrast to the Labrador Retriever and the other, the origins of Golden are well known thanks to the discovery in 1952 by the great-grandson, the Earl of Ilchester in Tweedmouth holding of real pedigree where all intersections were pinned with their births and reviews on the same of Sir Coutts Dudli Mariojoribanks. Lord Tweedmouth (as it turned out) mated in 1868 a Yellow Retriever, Nous, hair wavy (wavy-coated) with Bell, a Tweed Water Spaniel, race has since disappeared, which was described by Kennel era similar in appearance to a small corrugated Retriever from the mantle and tone brown. From 1868 to 1890 Lord Tweedmouth passionately continued the breeding of this line, crossing it a second time with another Tweed Water Spaniel, Retriever two blacks, an Irish Setter and a Bloodhound
colored sand. All this due to the advent of new technologies related to weapons hunting (less time in the reload) that they increase in number in the hunt for bird lovers. It served, therefore, an "auxiliary of the hunter" with eccellenti doti nel riporto e che portò Lord Tweedmouth a selezionare i primi soggetti di "Golden Retriever".
Oggi non vi è alcun dubbio che i primi allevamenti, nati all'inizio del '900 e dal quale derivano gli attuali Golden Retriever, siano stati avviati con dei riproduttori allevati da Lord Tweedmouth. Nel lontano 1913 la razza ottenne un proprio Libro Origini nel Kennel Club inglese con la denominazione di "Golden or Yellow Retriever" per poi, in 1920, adopting its current name, "Golden Retriever", the year in which there was also the first draft of the standard by the Golden Retriever Club in recent years has the birth of the first specialized farms such as Culham, Ingestre, and Noramby only after about 50 years, in 1960, the Golden Retriever was recognized as a new breed. Passed through two world wars that undermined an effective and accurate selection of the standard, only in recent decades can be said to have returned to high quality standards with the distinction of working lines and lines of beauty, even if today, as the Labrador, the danger lies in its increasing popularity.
... legend has it that these dogs came from the east Europe and that by chance their discoverer (Lord Tweedmouth) found them in a circus near Brighton. Struck by their beauty and performance, after a long and exhausting negotiations with the owners of the dogs (trappers), managed to bring with him eight specimens. This romantic story stood until the early fifties ...
